There are many different ways to...
participate in the Chicago Shoreline Marathon.

Race! Whether you are a seasoned boater or are new to paddling, there is a course for you!

  • The 25 mile Marathon is designed for experienced open-water paddlers looking for a challenge.
  • The 8 mile 2-Beach course is for intermediate to advanced paddlers opting for a shorter, still competitive course. Novices who have paddled Lake Michigan are welcome.
  • The 4x4 mile Relay is a fun event great for beginners or corporate/club teams looking for a new and exciting event to try. Need training and equipment? We have limited opportunities for training packages including gear rental for your team. Contact us here (link to info@csm email)

Volunteer! Executing an event of this size and scope requires LOTS of help. We rely on
local volunteers for support with logistics, beach stops, and on-water safety along the route. Whether you have a few hours or a whole week to contribute, we can get you involved.
